Abstract:
Nowadays, the software defined vehicle has been applies to all the major vehicle brands. Along with the CASE trends—Connected, Autonomous, Share(Service), Electrified—the technology on vehicles becomes one of the very important area in every mobility use cases. While many fancy capabilities are adding to these complicated devices, it’s also important to balance between convenience, usability and safety. In this talk, besides the general trend on the next era vehicle technology, we will share the AR technology, Positioning technology, Navigation and Voice Recognition that Garmin is working on with the integration of NN AI as an edge device including the voice processing and the computer vision and the challenges we’re facing.
Biography:
Chuan-Shen Hu, Manager of Garmin Auto OEM Core Engineering and Master Degree of CISE, National Taiwan University. (NTU CSIE CMLab) With 15-year experience on vehicle related technologies on Map Data Technology, Map Rendering, Search, Routing, Positioning, Voice Recognition and Computer Vision for Automotive OEM. He works as a leader of multiple core functions including Core Software Algorithm, User Experience and Map Technology in Garmin with a main role of new technology innovation and development group.
