Bio
I am an assistant professor at Department of Computer
Science and Information Engineering in National Taiwan
University. I finished my Ph.D. in Computer Science &
Engineering at the University of Michigan under the
supervision
of Jason
Flinn in October 2008. After obtaining my Ph.D, I worked
at NEC Labs America for
almost two years.
Recruiting
I am looking for strong and motivated graduate (masters
and Ph.D) students to join my lab. The qualites I am looking
for in students who (1) are interested in tackling research
problems (2) enjoy hands-on system building and
experimentation, (3) have good programming and communication
skills.
I also work closely with undergraduate students in
research projects. I am looking for undergraduate students
who have strong motivation and good programming skills.
I am currently looking at system management issues in
a large-scale virtualized cluster and helping users utilize
cloud resources. I am also interested in the general area of
mobile computing, such as how to help user debug performance
problems on a smart phone and how to leverage cloud to enable
smart phones to run more interesting applications.
If you are interested, please contact me to schedule an
appointment.

Research interests
My current research interests include: systems and power management in data
centers, operating systems, and mobile computing.
