Professor Hsueh-I Lu's Biograph

Professor Hsueh-I Lu received B.S. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science and Information Engineering from National Taiwan University in 1986 and 1990 and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Brown University in 1992 and 1997. Professor Lu was affiliated with the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Chung-Cheng University for 3 years (1996-1999) and the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica for five and a half years (1999--2005). Starting from Febuary 2005, he joined the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Taiwan University. He is currently a distinguished professor. He also holds a joint appointment in the Graduate Institute of Networking and Multimedia.

Professor Lu received the Ta-You Wu Memorial Research Award from the National Science Council in 2002 and the Academia Sinica Research Award for Junior Research Investigators from the Academia Sinica in 2004. He received the Five-Year Outstanding Teaching Award of National Taiwan University twice in 2007 and 2016, which is awarded to the top 1% faculty members of the whole university. He received the Outstanding Research Award from Ministry of Science and Technology in 2022.

Professor Lu's research is mainly on algorithms and graphs.
