The Testneos server uses the computational and algorithmic resources of OTC collaborators to solve optimization problems automatically with minimal input from the user. Users of the server are able to solve optimization problems over the Internet with state-of-the-art optimization software without downloading and linking code.
This server only needs a definition of the optimization
problem; all additional information
required by the optimization solver is determined
automatically. Users with nonlinear problems, for
example, can have derivatives and sparsity patterns
determined automatically.
