Abstract:
Singapore’s healthcare AI deployments—from diagnostic imaging and digital scribes to task automation and voice biomarkers—showcase tangible gains in efficiency, accuracy, and patient engagement. Yet, these real-world cases also highlight gaps in clinical reasoning, workflow integration, cost accessibility, and ethical safeguards. The lesson: AI is a powerful enabler, but not a silver bullet—it must be governed and paired with human oversight to truly transform care. We will illustrate with a few real-world examples through this talk.
