Abstract:
Establishing a high-quality urban sound environment is essential for the sustainable development of modern cities. The primary sources of environmental noise stem from various human activities, including transportation, construction, industry, and recreation. Estimating the noise pollution levels in urban areas is integral to improving the overall well-being of city dwellers. In this talk, we will share findings and lessons learnt from a case study of IoT-based ambient noise mapping conducted in Singapore, in collaboration with the National Environment Agency.
