Regulation and compliance are the most controversial topics in the blockchain industry. The regulatory challenges might be the biggest hurdle for getting mainstream investment in. Cryptocurrency initially gained enormous traction owing to privacy and anonymity. Some argue that regulations hurt the privacy and the spirit of blockchain, others argue that mass adoption would not happen until the industry is well-regulated. Meanwhile, each country has a different approach when it comes to crypto regulations. What's the latest trend? And how it could impact the future of the crypto/blockchain industry? Is there any technology helping us strike a balance between privacy and transparency?
Yao-Wei Ou is a serial entrepreneur in the blockchain industry since 2016. He is the founder and CEO of KryptoGO which is a search engine for regulations. Before KryptoGO, he was the president of COBINHOOD and also initiate DEXON which achieves 10K TPS and is invested by IDG Capital. Yao-Wei Ou received his master degree in CSIE from NTU in 2011.
