My Sports

I have been pretty active and I think I can now more comfortably call myself an amateur athlete. Here is a list of things I like to do:

Activity / Sport Skill Level (Amatuer) Active Level

Snowboarding

My favorite winter sport.

Mountain Biking (more details to come)

Biking is very good to get to some remote locations. It has also been the most rewarding sports for me.

80% 100%

Triathlon

I have been participating the yearly LA Triathlon since 2002; my overall rank has climbed to 618 / 1100.

60% 40%

Swimming

Swimming has been the best conditioning sports for me. If I twisted my ankle, I swim; if my muscle's too tight, I swim.

Running

I had been a terrible runner but now I can run. I'm still a 10 min/mile runner but I'm starting to enjoy it.

20% 60%

Basketball

I enjoy learning the techniques and teamwork involved in the games.

International Dancing

I never knew I would enjoy it; but actually I do. It's a self-expression, elegant yet precise.

Misc.

Golf, roller-skating, ping-pong, tennis... are also the sports I like but they are n't being actively practiced. I've got only so much time and my career needs attention.

My Races

There are a lot of races out there. I take LA Triathlon an indicator of my fitness level. I did Sea Otter Classics with some of my biking buddies.

In the future, I'd like to do a marathon as I've been a terrible runner. I'd also like to do the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon for its challenging course (I still cannot figure out why it costs $350 and the cost structure behind it.)
