Official INSTRUCTIONS
-
First, read the Rules below. If your site meets the requirements, go on to 2.
- Visit the Tag Page for Logos and ring fragments
(download the Logo Kit and add a logo and HTML fragment to your site).
- Add yourself to the queue
- Do NOT e-mail me about your addition, the Ring is set up to do so automatically.
- Be patient. You will receive an e-mail regarding your addition or rejection (that's such
a strong term -- let's call it "postponement").
- If you wish to work on your site off-line more, or just want a copy of all of this,
downloading the complete QWR Submission Kit is recommended
(includes official logos, rules, instructions, sample HTML fragments, and text
version of ©/N/©).
Official Rules (not instructions; subject to change)
- Site must have general Tenchi Muyo material containing some stuff on Washu, AND/OR
a well-developed Washu-specific page -- either (or both) of which must contain at least
one of the following (and NO hentai/illegal/hate stuff, please):
- Paraphrasal description(s) or synopsis: That is, your info and/or take on
Tenchi Muyo/Washu story or characters, NOT copied from the "Tenchi Muyo 101 Secrets"
pamphlet or the back of videos (or, at least with credit-due). :P
- Image gallery: A relatively well-organized image gallery of TM/Washu;
other rings may require a minimum MB amount, but understanding the limits of
web-space providers, let's say at least a dozen large and high-quality images can
constitute an image "gallery."
- Sound/Multimedia archive: A diverse sound archive, wavs/midis/etc. Similar
minimum as the image gallery, flexible (be careful with what is and isn't legal - ©/N/©).
- Comprehensive linkage: If you pride your site in its extra-internet
resources, you might FOR EXAMPLE have a few links with your personal commentary
or a massive list of categorised links. Five links at the bottom of a page does not
constitute a substantial amount of linkage. :P
- Other Specialization: Such as wallpapers, screensavers, webtoys, fanfics/arts, movies, etc.
- Site must adhere to certain ©/N/© protocols,
specifically the following:
- No bandwidth stealing: Any site caught bandwidth stealing will be dumped
from ring or queue (unless that party doesn't mind, and this is written explicitly on your
page). THIS INCLUDES calling on other accounts that are also yours.
This rule is inflexible; most people won't have a problem with this,
however. (See ©/N/© for more info.)
- Credit: Site should clearly exhibit disclaimers and/or credit-due notes on
pages using TM media, including fan arts (e.g. AIC/Pioneer LDC).
- Ring abuse: This is not too strict -- but in general, try not to be involved
in more than four webrings at the time of submission to queue.
* ANGST Cybertips are suggestions only, but major breaches in design such as
having 600 kb of images loading on the opening page will probably not be well-received...
- Site must exhibit QWRing logo and tags either on indexed page or a separate rings page.
- Site should not be under such major construction that there isn't anything there to pass
the time; this varies from site to site depending on how big and how much material
you plan on having.
- If you're bumped from the queue, you will be notified so you can make appropriate
changes if you want to, and resubmit.
