  • from animeondvd: Hacked? (05:46 PM EST): The folks over at Pioneer Anime found themselves the target of a hack early this morning. The hack is related to all the Napster things floating about.

  • Can you believe it? Tenchi getting so popular in the U.S. that fastfood chains like Burger King are picking up on the fad and planning to start distributing Tenchi Muyo toys? ^^

    "I have a couple friends who are in management for the Burger King fast food restaurants and they have told me that we have a cool surprise coming in the very near future. It seems that BK has gotten rights for restaurant promotions for Tenchi Muyo! merchandise and they have plans to do a whole series of toys and items like their current Pokemon toys. From what I was told it shouldn't be too long before now that we will see our beloved Tenchi as a member of the Big Kids Meal at BK. This is too damn weird to me. I never imagined being able to go grab a Whopper and pick up some Tenchi Muyo! stuff at the same place. I hope you guys are smiling as much at this as I am." - replicant

    Aubrey: Not a whole lot of news since the uproar on the third Tenchi movie started to simmer down. To be perfectly honest with you, I did not like the movie. The movement was slow, the plotline was silly, and the animation left a lot to be desired. If this is what they have in mind for the third OVA season, I think it's nice they are ending the series here and now. ^^b

    Sasami-chan: I actually enjoyed the movie a bit. But like Aubrey, I thought the plot moved at a snail pace, making it difficult for the viewers to enjoy the fluid animation and get into the story. The movie also puts an end to the endless speculation (sort of) amongst Tenchi fans regarding Tenchi's true love interest. Why? you ask. Tenchi drawing Ryoko on the sketch pad. Aeka backing off at the final key moment. Ryoko standing by Tenchi just before the credits pop up. I don't think the producer leaves any room for anyone else on the wedding picture, do you? ^_-
