Let me tell you a short story here... On June 24, 2000 at around 1 pm -
4pm, I was at Media Play, in Henrietta, NY in South own Plaza on
Jefferson Road, in the DVD anime section. There was a girl there. She
struck up a conversation with me about anime... She knew all about
Cartoon Network anime and such... and she liked the Gundam Wing vol. 1
DVD hologram box alot. and she named a site she goes to... the anime cafe
( http://www.abcb.com/ ). She was there with what looked like her Dad
(tall, skinny guy, big beard). She specifically mentioned Tenchi Muyo,
Gundam W, and Ranma 1/2. She mentioned specifically how the premise of
Ranma was a tad... odd. She was so sweet, friendly, and we had a lot in
common as far as anime... We both won't watch freaky gorey or freaky
porno-y anime... I think she may have been special and I want to see her
again! I was the 6' tall guy with glasses, and i mentioned that I liked
the Fatal Fury movie. I mentioned how I hadn't seen Tenchi, or Ranma 1/2
yet. I feel upset that I didn't give her my e-mail address or
something... anyhow, if she is out there, or visits this site, my email is:

If you know what I should do to find the this currently nameless girl,
i'd like to know. I've been madly in love with this one girl for 2.5 yrs
who hates me and this girl that I met briefly at Media Play is the first
to distract me from her. She gave me a glimpse of hope (excuse the
dramatics). I am trying to get a job at that very Media Play so maybe I
can see her again. I am out of ideas though... any helpful hints here

Can anyone explain the "shadow" concept as it applies to anime? I've seen it here and in other anime, but don't quite understand. [The closest analogy I can think of is the Hans Christian Anderson story entitled "The Shadow."]
Liked Sayuka, but: If my would-be significant other was involved with some "monster hunters" [Ryoko & Aeka], I'd be asking lots of questions about them. Sakuya pretty much forgets about them even after they trash the school carnival.

Hello everybody who is reading this. I bought the tape of episodes 4-6
and saw Sakuya and was like, " Now if Tenchi doesn't go for her, then
he's never going to score. Damn, I wouldn't mind being Tenchi. Overall,
I think Sakuya outscores all the other girls in every imaginable
category. Looks, brains, personality, sweetness..... it's all there.
