ACID TENCHI'S PROFILEThe top scientific genius in the universe! She created everything in any incarnations from electronic gadgets to biological life forms. She appears in all of the Tenchi Muyo! series. Not only is she the #1 scientific genius in the universe, she is also over 20,000 years old and a goddess (with the other two being Tsunami and Tokimi), but her physical form is that of a 12 year old. She was rescued by Mihoshi when Kagato imprisoned her in another dimension in Kagato's space ship, the Soja. Her past is as complex and mysterious as the other goddesses. No one really knows why she gave up her divinity to become a "mortal". Her past is slightly revealed in the OVA when she spoke about how she joined the Royal Space Academy 20,000 years ago, met a fellow student, and fell in love. She married her fellow student and had a child. Unfortunately, the child and her husband was taken from her because her husband is from a prestigious family. She still mourns over the loss of the her child to this day. I believe because of the dramatic loss of her first child, she created Ryoko, her other child. Also, because of this certain event, she decided to stay as a 12 year old girl, alleviating any "lineage, status", and political aspects of the adult world. Ryoko is currently her most treasured creation, mainly because Wasyu used her ova and a life form called Mass in creating Ryoko. She also created Ryo-Ohki, Ryoko's space ship from Mass. In creating Ryoko, she used her Power Gems to enhance Ryoko's power. The Power Gems are so powerful in that it can rival Jurai's space trees and space ships. In fear losing dominant force, the Juraian Royal Family met with Wasyu about this concern. Wasyu assured the Juraian family she will not create another Ryoko and Ryo-Ohki. This only proves that she indeed cares for Ryoko like her own daughter and not as a creation. In fact, she is quite proud of Ryoko as a mother would have. On the personal side, she is very caring, comical, and sometimes on special occasions, plays the mad scientist. When she first meets Tenchi after seeing him create the Light Hawk Wings to destroy Kagato, her first words were, "Thank you for saving my life. Will you be my guinea pig!" @_@ Being Tenchi, he "agreed". During the experiments, Wasyu can not find any trace of how Tenchi created the Light Hawk Wings. She finally realized she needs a special specimen from Tenchi, his semen. She quickly transformed herself in to what seems to be a nurse or "Angel of Mercy." This is very funny indeed. However, she uses her comical side to hide the pain of her loss 20,000 years ago. In evidence of her genius, her laboratory spans in to other dimensions with numerous alien specimens. She spends most of her time in her laboratory delving in to her work. |

When is the last time you stared into the face of a Goddess with spiky
crab-like hair, large green eyes and the most tenacious pair of lips in
the universe? Never? Not to worry, you are about to be blessed by the
presence of the One. Awed by her presence yet? Good. Knew you were a smart fella. If not, you better smart up real soon or you may end up like some silly octopus head. Huh? What's that? Oh, so after seeing the Great One herself, you wish to know the types of fashion statements the Deity like to make so you can emulate her Greatness in all her glory, huh? Good thinking! ^_^ To make it brief: her Highness adores wearing her one-size-fits-all Galaxy Academy uniform from the previous era. She does; however, change into her nurse uniform on special occassions, especially when she conducts important experiments on her favourite guinea pig, Tenchi-dono. ^_^ Cute huh? Don't be fooled by the professional look on her face though, because the instant you let your guard down, you will be greeted by a brand new look -- a look which you will not likely to forget for quite some time... OK, now you know the kinda wrappings our Goddess like to cuddle in, let's move on to the next topic. |
"Call on Wasyu-chan when you need a problem solved in the shortest time."That may not be a Murphy's Law, but Wasyu can come up with mechanical solutions to just about any wacky problems you might run across, just when you need it too. Wasyu's motto in Shin Tenchi Muyo!, "New problems call for new inventions," suits her perfectly. No doubt that without her gadgets and techno-know-hows, the Tenchi family probably wouldn't have lasted as long as they did. Of course, Wasyu-chan knows this too, so she makes an effort to emphasize on her superior intellect whenever she can. In fact, her two robotic assistants in the first TV series seem to be built for this purpose as they are forever vigiliant in their tasks of chanting these immortal lines: and "Wasyu-chan, number one in the universe!." Some of the most spectacular inventions by Wasyu are Ryoko, Ryo-oh-ki, Souja, Subspace Laboratory, Crab Milk Powder, Medical Exam Ball, Time Machine, Cheerleader Wasyu-bots, Dimensional Portal, Time Monitor, and Heart Computer. |
Long, long ago, in a dimension far, far away, Wasyu was a goddess along with her two immortal sisters, Tsunami and Tokimi. For reasons yet to be revealed, Wasyu chose to forsake her powers, sealed her memory, and came to the dimension Tenchi lives in. Wasyu then lived the life of a normal human being for the better part of the next 20,000 years. She studied at the Galaxy Academy, where she earned honors for her achievement and graduated at the top of her class, and even got married with a fellow schoolmate at one time. Unfortunately, that marriage ended in tragedy as her husband's family took him and her child away because of his royal lineage. For this reason, Wasyu usually disguises herself as a twelve year old teenager who insists on being addressed as "Wasyu-chan" by those around her -- if it means she must deal with adult affairs like social status, she never wants to grow-up. Despite her physical appearance; however, Wasyu is a mature adult at heart who can be highly manipulative (in a good way) to those around her. Because of her age and her experience, Wasyu often plays the role of a mother figure in the Tenchi family. 5,000 years before the present time, Wasyu was "kidnapped" by Kagato and became his teacher, but was sealed by him later on when Kagato decided Wasyu could interfere with his plan. Wasyu was freed by Mihoshi when the GP detective, along with Ryoko and Aeka stormed the Souja, seeking vengeance for the death of Tenchi. The three gems Ryoko currently owns are the physical manifestation of Wasyu's power. |
